This week and the Festival of the Arts-

Hello and happy long weekend Families,

What a whirl wind of a week it has been. We have been super busy with celebrating the ARTS as well as continue our learning adventure. We had 3 assemblies- our opening assembly, Indian Classical Dance Assembly and a Closing Assembly. We enjoyed all three assemblies and had lots of interesting things to talk about.

In Language Arts, we have begun our new writing Genre- REPORTS. We have already started planning our our reports that we will write on Monday. Our Favorite Fruit. I will be posting a template in which students can practice writing their reports at home.
In Math- we continue to work on Measurement- TIME! We love learning about time, and although it is a hard concept, we are getting the hang of o'clock, half past and quarter past. We like playing with the clocks in class. Students are encouraged to practice saying the time by observing the analogue clocks at home.

In Science- we continue to discuss Materials and their properties- we have lots of fun talking about Solids, Liquids, and Gases, as well as the different properties of different objects.

In social studies, we continue working on Communities- and starting this week, will have a special guest speaker coming in to show us and talk about their jobs. If any parent would like to come and visit with us and share with us what they do we will always be happy to have you. Please contact me!

Festival of the Arts- We mural painted, we block printed. Here are pictures of us doing all the different things during the festuival of the Arts.
