Everything Science..... and more!

Hello First Grade Families!
Happy Sunday! Off the bat I want to congratulate each and every first grade student for doing so well and making us all so very proud of them at the science fair. It was wonderful going around and listening to explanation about their experiments.
This past week has been about science, science and more science. We however, still managed to get other work done as well.

For language arts, we worked of writing reflections, and new spelling strategies. Here are a few pictures of what went on in our classroom this week.

In Social studies, we have begun discussing different communities, urban, rural and suburban communities in preparation for our field trips coming up later this month.

In math we are reviewing Shapes as well as continuing to work on number sense and measurement.

We love science and we enjoyed learning about the scientific process of doing things. Here are a few pictures of our week before the science fair!

We tried and tested our experiments before we made our discoveries! Oh the fun we had.. making discoveries.

Our FINAL written work of our experiments. READY FOR THE SCIENCE FAIR!

It's so much fun to actually demonstrate how things work and move rather than just explaining. Making our teachers and parents proud of us!
