The Week That Was!

The last week was super busy week in Grade 1A! We had a lot of fun watching and cheering for our house teams on Wednesday for the swim gala. We also had our swim lesson which we all enjoyed. As always, Tuesday's ice cream and doughnut wednesdays are what we look forward to.

This week we talked about being dependable and we are very proud of ourselves because out teachers can depend on us to try our best in everything we do. We watched a fun video about being dependable.

We began learning about procedures and made ourselves some tang which we wrote about. We love working on our spelling and are doing a great job.

In math we are reviewing numbers, working on ordering numbers, and have been learning about odd and even numbers, as well as working on word problems. We have enjoyed the challenge and are always up for more challenges in Grade 1.

In Social studies we have been learning about maps and directions and are getting better at figuring out our left and right sides.

This week during our science lessons we talked about living things and environments, and we watched a super video about camouflage.
Priceless Expressions!!!! WE LOVE SCIENCE!
We love our team building time as we learn how to play with each other and work as teams.
